I’m having issues getting the steering wheel off.. it ain’t been 5 months since we had it off. I got the puller as tight as I can get it .. and been hitting it.. and it’s moved a lot . But not letting go. I’ve wasted a damn day
We’ll not wasted . In between the steering wheel. I’ve focused on the Polaris 4- wheeler. And got it humming again.. been sitting a while . I been too focused on the truck for the past 4 months

Damn I finally got that thing off .. I got to get a different puller. I got one of them universal pullers and it was kinda pulling at a angle.. I need one that pulls straight up ! Now to go on to the intricate stuff inside the steering column. And then the wires.. I got to remove it later to put the blinker assembly in it. But I wouldn’t mind putting it on a toggle switch…

What I set out to do starting at 6am. 1/4 is done.. friends knew my truck was down so 2 come to visit and talk more than help.( but they did get my Polaris 4- wheeler started ( it’s been 3 months since I glanced at it ) I been focused on the power wagon daily and steady. I’m gonna paint that Polaris to match the pork ******..

I’m gonna cut the end of the blinker switch and try to use that to make a coupling work. I’m ordering a new blinker assembly tonight..

I thought I had a bad wiring issue as far as trying to make it neat goes . But yours looks pretty bad.

I did get to the point that I see my parts . Tomorrow I’ll tear into that column.. on a side note though ^^^^^. I’m gearing up to remove all my dash.. from the heater vent all the way down . I got a bare wire running thru the nest and I’m sure there’s some burnt wires beside it.

thanks Kurt / #16 took me about 30 minutes this morning to cut out the rest of the wiring in the diagram and then color it , about 20 minutes for # 17
Dedication Dean!
It makes it easier to trace the line when your looking at it.

Yep. Pullers don't pull sideways very well.

I hope you got some diagrams of the wires I’m messing with until I get your 2 manuals. After work I’m gonna get back on it where I left off

I’ve looked at these wires for many hours . I got some spiced into others .
I’m truly scared to even mess with them.
Hook one up wrong and I could have a bad issue on my hands.. and my book or none of my literature gives me any confidence
And I don’t have much confidence or faith in myself when it comes to any wires

We’ll todays the day. Going to test the switch to see what wires corresponds to what key position. Trace a couple firewall wires and make sure their sound.

rain has really put me on hold. Sunny all day. Then I get off work, and here comes the rain ,
Typical Florida weather

Yes I hated the 2 years I lived in Florida. I think it rained a bit on each of the 700+ days I was there.

Good luck, hopefully you don't have any issues.

Oh boo hoo it's so rough living in paradise where it rains 20 minutes every day during the RAINY SEASON. Try living in the rust belt and dealing with road salt 5 months out of the year.
