Here's what it looked like on it's first off road trip in December 1973 after I first got it...

Because Chrysler decided to go on strike the month I ordered it, I had to wait until December to get it.
And those guys pulled that on me again when we ordered our 2009 Dodge Challenger Classic R/T.
Sheesh.

Thanks.
Well that was 38+ years ago.
It's been in continual evolution since.
I will probably overload this site with the chronological order of events since 1973.

My wife and I drove to Alaska on our honeymoon in June 1976.
A shot out the window of Mile 0 of The Alcan in the town of Dawson Creek...

Here's where the pavement ended and the mud began...

And I meant mud.
Stopping for gas on the Alcan...

Leaving Dawson City crossing the Yukon River...

Crossing the border from Yukon Territory into Alaska on "The Top of the World Highway"...

very cool pics {cool}. were the steps in the side of the bed a factory option?
Nope.
When I bought it, there was this guy named Vic Hickey who had all these cool aftermarket doo dads for 4WD trucks. And I went nuts to fix my Dodge up.
Still running those steps and the transfer case brace from him.

I know what you mean.
You hardly ever see 73's or 74's anymore.
Don't get me wrong here.
I've replaced my floorboards in the past.

Can we see pics of the transfer case and the mods made through the years.

That is pretty amazing. So how much have your modified the truck from stock since 1973?

I'm doing a Apherisis at the blood bank at the moment. It's hard to type with one hand!
