I just rebuilt my t-case and the splined rubber seal didnt really work... i then tried using rtv to seal it but its still leaking, i hate having marks all over my driveway!! What else could i do to make this stop

I guess your right... pinions are on axles... brain fart...
I could do that but the first one didnt work, after being installed correctly. I was just wondering if someone has done/used something else to seal the output shaft.
What about those metal shims(they have a name, but I can't think of it) that are used to create a good surface when it has been worn down by the old seal.
...I've used Permatex Anaerobic sealant #51813 to seal off yoke splines - supposed to be good for that. Just what I was told - not sure if it is specifically made for splines or not, but seems to have worked for me.
When i rebuilt the tcase i put one in but it didnt seal correctly and leaked. I plan on trying the stuff mad max suggested
