Ball Joint torque sequence FSM is useless...

Hoping someone knows the proper torque sequence for D44 CAD axle ball joints.  FSM just says final but I've always "set" them at a certain torque, then final torque.  On my other truck it was like 40 lower then 30 upper then back to bottom and back to top...otherwise they bind.  Or am I just being too anal?  Thanks :)

Now it IS sounding kind of anal with the spring resistance.  Could be a lot of peoples steering problems if that does make a difference.  thanks

Just wanted to tie this up with a WARNING- Never, ever put parts store cheap ball joints on your R/C!  I removed the O'reilly "MasterPro" ball joints that I originally installed.  I had to grind the threads down because they were hitting my axle U-joint (that should have been my first clue), darted all over the road, and provided a white knuckle experience to simply go to the grocery store!  I replaced them with some Moogs and now my truck steers and handles better than new.  The truck now corners better than the Cadillac SUV that tried to outrun me on my way home this morning.  You get what you pay for and quality is cheaper in the long run. ;)
