A clean title is a rare find?  Hell, my Ramcharger just doubled in value!  ;D

For a '70 'cuda. That would be a real pain and take a long while to restore, but the 340/4 speed sure would make it worthwhile. If it's got mounts then it'd be real easy to do. (360) It might be worth the money if this is what you had to have, it'd be a little cooler than a '74 318 Barracuda project.

Actually, it's just a rolling chassis - no engine or transmission.

I'd wager that most of the '70s Cuda in the world do have clear titles. ;D Now maybe a clear title might be rare for that particular vehicle, but most vehicles do have titles and anything that old should be clear, lol. All the Cudas we have had all had clear titles at any rate.

Well heck, the windshield looks pretty clear. I wonder if the seller spent eight months and $1200 on that as well? ;D

Yeah, it's very clear.  Almost like it's not even there, lol.  ;D

I understand. And it should have a clear title. Odd that it mentions $1200 and 8 months to get it, but a clear, legit, numbers coincide everywhere title is the only way the shell would be worth any relatively profitable value after completion.

I get what you mean. Having the title doesn't significantly add to the value of the vehicle, not having it significantly cuts its value in half or more than in half.

Exactly.  I suspect there may have been some sort of disagreement about the ownership of the car and either he had to pay off the title or lien holder or he had to pay a lawyer to get the title straightened out.  Either way it's nothing to brag about or put in your ad as it's not a cost that can be passed onto the next owner.  If he got in over his head on a car without a clear title, that's his fault, lol.

That's what I would think.

I don't really see what spending $1200 on a car he's selling for $5000 has to do with. It's not a significant enhancement to the car. You'd think there'd be some pictures of the roof and doors he has for it instead of another car, maybe they are just as bad? I agree, nobody makes you deal w/o a title. (or I guess now some titles are shifty even if the car is clear)

Agreed!

It wouldn't be the first time.  Remember the Charger convertible?  Ugh.  I did like the Superbird convertible built off the Satellite convertible though.  ;D

ugghhhh... What a douchebag.

I think he spent that 1200 bucks and 8 months from trying to keep that wreck from being on a salvage title.

I'll bet he finds some dumb sucker to buy it for that too.

I wouldn't touch it. Honestly, if someone gave it to me or I inherited it would be on here for a honest asking price then I would lower it by $300 to move it. First reasonable offer owns it. That thing is a surface rust turd. Seriously looks like the barn they found it in fell on it 20 years ago. No way it's worth $5000-no way.

Jesus did someone drop a whale on the roof of that poor car?   Definately not worth 5k, maybe $500 if you have some friends who could help find replacements for the damaged & missing parts. Even then that would be pushing it.

I've seen Cudas in better shape sell for alot less around here.  Infact i missed out on a '71 340 4-Speed Cuda a few years ago (about 2 days after i bought my '74 Duster)  It was rusted (PA Car) but complete and it sold for $1,500 IIRC.

That Cuda could be fixed but it's gonna take one hell of a good body man to do it. Looking at that roof it probably pulled the side panels in towards the center when it buckled. I might buy it but not for 5K, $500 maybe though.
