5.7 Hemi swap

I’m eyeballing a 5.7 hemi and 4x4 trans w/ transfer case on FB marketplace. I’ve skimmed through the search results and it seems to be like a lot of circumstantial advice, so I figured I’d start my own thread.

I want to utilize as much from the 5.7 as possible. My first question is, what do I need to make sure comes with my new power plant?

My main goal is just the engine. The difficulty/expense of the additional complexity of also swapping the trans may deter me from considering that.

I gotta pencil it all out and weigh my options.

Those who have done this swap. Is the juice really worth the squeeze?

I could throw together a ripping 408 for relatively reasonable money. Sure not on the level of the hemi, but certainly a bucket of torque for a bare bones 4x4.
