bleh...this is why i dont like going to the doctor...they find something wrong every time... this could be a long post but ill give you the short hand.

felt like crap for the last few months .worse then normal.  so i talked to my doc who did some blood work on me and ran his tests. my liver fuctions came back high . but i dont drink. havent really drank in over 2 to 4 years. granted once in a blue moon me and some friends might have a few beers but that's it. even then I'm usely the driver.

so he is having it re tested thinking that the cough meds i was on might have trown the test off(still waiting to hear about it.) but he is also testing me for hepatitis since i work in a prison I'm around it a lot.

so he is also having me have a sonogram witch i did today (still waiting to hear about that. ) and i had a xray done on my nee since it has been swelling and grinding fairly bad. i already know my knee's are screwed but i just need to know how bad.

the doc over all looked me over and said he is going to need to see me about ever 2 weeks for 3 months to try and get every thing tucked away and fixed. and i belive him to. not looking forword to the near futrue

on naproxin to control the inflimation in my knee and i found out there is something wrong with my left rotator cup.  its what meds and docs do find/fix a problem.

fix pain now prevent future damage later.

as far as work goes shouldn't you get a test every 6 months or once a year for tb.  should be a prison standard.

So, you KNEW there was something wrong, went to the doctor to confirm, got the confirmation, and are now bummed out that he didn't sugar coat it and tell you it will be ok?
no its just i go in for one thing and they always find something else wrong. its like that for my whole family. we get sick with something and go to be treated and and while doing so they seem to always find something else wrong. and the odds of me having a lot of health issues in life are high. my family has a wide range of health issues rangeing from diabetics/liver failur/heart issues/tyroid issues. high blood presure/ graves disease ect .ect. and my mother has a auto immune issue. so you get the point. i just dont like the idea of knowing that at some point in my life ima more then likely go in for something minnor and its going to pop up with one of the many issues that runs in my family.

im already running border line hyper tension. its not so much i dont like them its i just dont like what they have to say some times. its just something i always kind of worrie about in the back of my mind. right now im trying to get my knees back and ankles strait so i can get a green light to go back to my gym so i can work on my blood presure.

luckly my issurance is top line right now working for the state and all. and as far as being tested yeah were tested for TB once a year on our b-days but were not tested for hep. a b or c.

In 2006 I had the worst physical check up of my life. Fast forward to 2009 and other than needing to lose 50 or so more pounds I am in awesome shape.
Work with your Dr to fix your problems. You are young and have time to be better than ever. I have learned that the human body is an amazing machine that breaks down when you don't use it.

Greg is 100% right. I was having a bunch of aches and pains. The Dr's were telling me things I didn't want to hear. I lost about 75 pounds and was amazed at how many problems disappeared. Fast forward, and I put half of that weight back on and am right back to feeling like crap. I'm twice your age and really feeling the pressure to get my act together.

That's awesome that you are seeing a Dr. and they are taking the time to thoroughly check things out. I always had HMO type insurance, so that might have been a big part of the problem. It wouldn't have been as big of a problem if I were more pro-active.

Give it hell man. Get your health under control now. Who knows what Obama has coming down the pipe! :p

I didn't like Dr's either, Wouldn't go unless I felt like I was dying, moral didn't see Dr's much, than one night sitting on the couch watching tv minding my own business, I had a stroke and still recovering from it. I haven't been to work for 3 months. It probably wouldn't have help to see a dr before this since they still don't know why I had the stroke. I will still see a dr every 6 months just to be checked out for now on.

Unless you're doing something with the prisoners you ain't telling us, it's not from your job ;)

And talk about things going bad, I think I tore both rotator cuffs last month. It sucks. I see my orthopedist next week :(

I injured mine a few years ago (strain, sprain....I don't recall), man that sucked, every bodily movement hurt like hell, even walking down stairs!

After 3 weeks, the pain is finally settling down thankfully. Getting dressed, brushing teeth, lying down on either side, even clapping hurts.

My cholesterol went up so I started running. I ended up with bursitis in both hips (very painful) and had to go through cortisone shots twice in each followed by therapy. Then I increased the weight training because I couldn't run, and I tore both cuffs (supraspinatus). I'm guessing it'll be shots there with therapy for the shoulders.

It is so very disappointing. Next time, I'll just take the damn pill.

I lost weight so I didn't have to buy new clothes...something about fitting into a shirt you had since 18 makes me feel better.
LOL 1 year into doing carpet, vinyl, tile and hardwood flooring I couldn't fit into anything I was in at 18. not even my pants!

Working for a living puts muscle on you...... ;) And I thought I was big from throwing hay and kumber around all my life.... :)
