Got a guy at work that has 2001 Stratus, and the ball joint broke on the rear control arm....a couple questions....
1. He says that there are two studs holding the control arm on (one from either side, acting as the hinge points for the control arm), and he tried driving them out with a hammer to get them out so he can pull the old arm off.....but had no luck...is there some other way that this should come out?
2. Is that ball joint pressed in, i.e., do you have to buy the control arm and ball joint all as one piece, or can you get them seperately?
I haven't seen the car at all, so it's hard for me to know exactly what it is thats going on, but this is what he described it as....i thought most control arms had a long bolt that ran all the way through from one side to the other that it hinged on, but I could be wrong....any help? Thanks guys.
