what all do i need for wires for my 87 d100 i put the 74 bb in it and i wanted to take out some of the unused wires i have left from the /6 what ones do i need and what color are they??

Hmmmmm! I wouldn't think you would have ANY "unused wires. Possibly, since the BB has the distributor in front, the coil and distributor wires would need to be longer, or the oil pressure and temp sender might be in a different location, but they should still need the same amount of wire. The alternator, electric choke etc. (if present) should still need power. I can't really think of anything you would be able to lose.

if you want to get rid of unsued wires....find the test connection on the drivers dsie fender, and remove all the wires from it.

I did this, and got rid of over half the wires under my hood.
