Well... perhaps it's just me, but I've found that in my '86 R/C the wipers low is very often too high. What's worse, the switch cannot be reached easily (too far, I must bow to reach it), which makes it pretty inconvenient to run'em manually each minute or so.

Had somebody a similar experience and found a good solution?

I switched mine to intermittant. Got the switch and motor from a donor at the wreckers.

If you still don't like the reach you can switch in a newer column that has the controls on the turn signal lever. Just takes a bit of time with a test light.

I considered a "cheap way out" for wiper switch relocation. I was going to cut the wire on my left side horn button on my steering wheel and wire it to the wiper on/off switch. Pushing the button just long enough for the wipers to turn on and then releasing the button would be the same as turning them on and right back off again.

If I did this, would I still be able to keep the right horn button operational for the horn, or are both horn buttons wired together?
