Has anyone ever replaced their window seals. Mine are needing one kinda bad the other real bad. I've been looking at the stuff in J.C. Whitney. Just wondering how hard it is and is there anything I should watch out for.

I don't have any info right now, but I ordered some two weeks ago and I am patiently waiting. I can let you know when I get them, if I remember. ::)
P.S. Maybe I should clarify, I am talking about the seals that go at the bottom of the window on the outside. Is this what you are talking about?

I think that these are called "outside window scrapers"

I used the anti rattle strips from JC Whitney on my '87. They work but could use some improving. The rear curve (at the back of the window door frame) is not right and the clips should have been attached lower on the strip. Like I said they work though.

As far as installing goes roll the window down as far as it will go and peer inside the door, you will see the tabs the clips attach to. It wont be easy to get all of them clipped in. The proper (read long and major operation) is to remove your door trim panel and remove the lower bump stop for the window and then roll it down so it drops below the top edge of the door opening. This will give you much more room to get those strips in. The problem is you will have to drill out the rivets used to attach the bump stop support. They come out easy as they are aluminum, then replace with 1/4 stainless bolts with washers and lock washers.

Cheers

I'm talking about the rubber seal that goes all the way around the window. Inside and out. Just looked at my JC Whitney. window channel I guess is the correct name. Thanks{wave}

I did this recently on my '85, and it was not a big deal. I did have some trouble getting the seal all the way down to the bottom of the track, but it fit very well. I remember using some WD-40 to help it slide down in there.
I did the beltline weatherstripping at the same time, and just like v737d said, the ones from J.C. Whitney don't fit too great in the rear, and the clips are not quite in the correct spot. But, considering I can get four from J.C, for the price of one from the dealer, I will stick with the Whitney ones. I had put a genuine Chrysler one on my '89 years ago and it fit great.

Thanks for all the help.My '90 is generally in pretty good shape. Still there are a lot of things I want or need to do to it and not enough time.
