Hey all,

Thought it a good way to start the info flowing. Also looks bad if there are no posts under the heading.

Who are u, whadda drive, and where dya live? (Luv the slang ;))

I'm from Surrey, BC, and am a member in a local club which has been great. My truck is a 77 r/c, 318, 727, np203, 3.73 gears, 32" tires, some lift, and a bunch of custom doodads like cold air intake (aka low snorkel), dual batteries, electric fan...

What about YOU!!!

Allright! Another chapter member! We must be all busy working or wheeling on our RC's to reply. I'm from Okotoks (just south of Calgary) and have a truck very similar to yours.
It's a '77 also, with a 400, just rebuilt 727, 203, and 1980 1/2 ton axles with stock springs. I had 35's on it but wore them out (they rubbed anyway), now it sits on 32's. How's the trails in beautiful B.C.??? 8)

Wish I had a 400 (or 440). Sounds goods though. What gears are in the axles?

BC's a great place to wheel. There are so many logging roads that lead most of the way to the alpine or to small high altitude lakes that it's just great what you can find. There are also many very close trails to the lower Mainland where the population is concentrated because our mountains form a formidable barrier. Of course we have our share of greenies trying to close everything down except for hikers. Very frustrating. Whadda you guys wheel in Alberta?

Cheers.
G
I am here in Alberta just east of Edmonton. I used to live in B.C. so I think the wheeling here in Alberta sucks and the muck is like snot. Hey I guess I am just not used to it yet. Hmmm and as for what I drive..... NO COMMENT LOL. Just say its not the RC and its not even a Dodge product but I am working read hard to make that happen. Just in the process of looking for a pre 80's RC.
Would love to drive down for RJ2003 but I guess we'll see what the future holds..........
Only 3.55's. They were way too high a gear for the 35's, but not too bad all round on the 32's.
The trails around here are pretty snotty, but if you have some well equipped buddies, I think it's a blast (until you run into a valley full of peat bogs). There is enough logging and survey roads around here to explore without getting too muddy though.
The trucks around here are mostly built Chevys and Fords, with a smattering of Toyota trucks and 'cruisers. I have only seen a couple of nice old Dodges.
My wife is from Nelson B.C. so I hope someday to check out those logging trails.
hey guys good to see fellow western canucks here im from kelowna bc and have an 86 sb 440 727 205 were into boggin trail and snow wheelin here what a hoot!! ttyl

Dammit cleandust, you're looking at the map of Canada upside down again aren't you? ;D
Yeah, it would be cool to get something together for spring. A buddy and I have something in the works. We want to have a BIG mud run up here in the spring through a road that probably less than 5 trucks have ever done from start to finish. Sickest road I've ever seen. Anyway, more on that later, it's still up in the air, but let me know if you guys would be interested.
Anyway, my name is Dan, for those less observant of you ;D and I'm in Prince George B.C. I have an 87' RC on 32" BFG A/T's. I'm running a 318 bored .030 over, decked, mild RV cam, 4bbl E-brock, 727 auto, 3:21 gears (Hoping to install 3:55s)
It's definately not the most capable rig out there, but she usually goes where I point her.

Dan

Sh*t dan i think i was lookin at that damn map upside down ;D Anyway you thinking about doing a mud run in the spring i am definately there. Give me a time and place. Keep me posted. ;D
The mud run isn't such a sure thing now. I can still find a ton of nasty mud up here, but the particular road I was talking about is being culverted, graveled and graded as I speak. Turns out my buddy's old man is going to be logging up there next spring :-\ If you guys want, we can still find plenty of good slop up here, but if one of you has a better idea, or a real good trail or chewin area, don't be shy.

Dan
Well, on May long weekend we have a big mud bog and campout at one of the local swamps up in the hills around here (20 min from town) there is always tons of people tons of beer drinkin and lots of trucks and action and your all welcome to come. It will be the first outing for my truck cant wait!! its been over 2 yrs in the build. As far as finding it we could meet at my house and all go up together. Let me know if your intrested

Shane 8)
Kelowna=hot chicks. I'm there ;D lol. Sounds like fun. I'll definately look into coming down for that. My birthday is May 19, so I may as well go down there to party anyway.

Dan
No questions here. Im in! Keep me posted ;D
We really gotta get something going here, I know there's more of us westerners here than this. At the rate we're going, if we do get something together, I'm gonna have to bring some of my Phord buddies just to bring the numbers up a bit ;D I'm gonna check out the member list when I have a little more time, and see who's hiding.

a couple months later and I am now a pround new owner of a 76rc, needs alot of work but already started on it...its a runner with a 400 in it!!!!!!
I'm here. Chad from Edmonton. RC is a standard tranny 89 LE with the 318. Luv it to death but don't use it as much as it should. Offroad that is. Just for some ice fishing and the odd trip trying to get stuck. Not much done to it yet besides maintaining it, shocks, TPS, O2 sensor, steering, K&N filter and a CD player. Did the tire thing to before I even imagined of lifting it yet. So a couple more years before that.

Good to here from ya, I go out to Vinca Bridge area (Bruderheim, Redwater) a bit, but sometimes there are too many ATVs out there. Never been out to Devon though sound good though. Love the snow that we got here last few days. See how hard it is to get stuck.
