I just wanted to check if there were still events going on? I am in PA, but I don't mind driving a few hours to meet up. I will dig around the rest of the site to find anything going on.

Thx

...there's nothing in any book that says RamJam can't happen more than once or in two different places in the same year - many folks can't make it from one side of the country to another so having one or two in the same year at different locations and/or at different times (one in the spring - one in the fall for example) is fine - there is no rule book - all that is 'usually' required is for someone or a small group or chapter to organize something and honcho it from start to finish, and serve as the single point of contact for questions etc.

That said I do love Moab and I just may organize something for 2020.

...first thing I have to do is get the Dakota put together - that build officially began this weekend - but yah I'm really looking hard at a 2020 run - ideally in the Aug-Oct time frame.  I'll definitely keep everyone posted {cool}

...I'll be updating this thread {cool}. Also...I am not any kind of 'authority' on where/when a RamJam can be - I've organized one RJ in the past but anyone that wants to organize one can do so. There's never any guarantee of any large turnout but even if there's just a few RCC members (and friends/guests) then it's always a good time.

But yes, that all said, I'm currently looking at doing a Fall of 2021 event in Moab {pope} {cool}

well, no updates really - this year has just about been a total wash but personally I've been able to get the wrench time in on the truck, and I'm hoping to have it rolling next year.  That said I've no idea right now if I'll be able to do a Moab run in 2021 - too many variables up in the air just as yet, but, I do have it on my long-range radar so I'll be chiming in as things progress.

However, that all said, anyone can organize a Moab run.  If I can't make it there no reason a RamJam Moab gig can't happen in 2021 :) .

...so I'm still bolting my rig together...and I'm pretty certain - no I am certain, that I cannot organize a RamJam21 gig in Moab. That said, I think a RJ 22 Moab gig is fairly possible, and I will be trying to put that together, and I'll keep everyone updated as things progress. Sorry for the no joy info for this year - just too much going on. Hopefully next year! :)

...just to keep anyone interested in the loop, the best times to be in Moab are early/late in the year (March-April, and Sept-Nov), so if I (or anyone) wants to organize a RJ22 gig I'd recommend those times of the year, ideally October. I have a fairly young family (3 kids below the age of 4 and a very, very hard-working, patient, loving, amazing wife/CINCHOME), so any plans I make to be away for several days can be derailed at any time, so if I do plan a RJ22 gig I will aim for October, and I will aim for 3-4 days on the trails - attendees plan their own logistics for travel time to/from (for us it's an 8-hour haul). We do have a 'Ken' - RCC member Ken "Moabion", who lives in Moab and has a shop which is almost always utilized for repairs on every trip there.

Anyway, just keeping prospective member in the loop as to what 'might' happen in late 22...at least if I'm planning it ;) .

Lastly - anyone who hasn't wheeled Moab should have a look at the pics n vids at this link - if this all looks like fun then a trip to Moab will be good stuff, but if either you personally or your rig may not be up to the mental and mechanical tasks evident in these vids...well just consider that Moab will test every single bolt on your driveline, and for sure test your cooling systems, especially steering and transmission.

Fair warning: Moab trails are super fun, super challenging, and can be super dangerous. There are continuous opportunities for D&D - Death and Destruction. So, no one attending a RCC event with me will see anyone drinking in the trail, going off trail, or doing anything that would otherwise get us kicked off the trail or worse, getting it closed permanently. Many powers that be would love to close the off-road trails and make everything hiking or biking trails only, and we do not want to do anything to give those powers more ammo than they already have. Ok - that all said, enjoy the pics :)
