There is open running down here... In fact, I think that power sliding one of these curves in a rock pile, is what did in my tire...

Hey Smokey,

That looks similar to the terrain we run NW of Albuquerque.

Sorry I missed it. But I did get some wheelin' in yesterday... Ran the edge of the mesa between Rio Rancho and US 550... Very nice weather yesterday. Took my oldest son shooting... We blasted up about 200 rounds of .45...

The Cagedodge looks awesome...

After seeing all the pics,i now know i missed out BIGTIME!Some of those trails look pretty hairy but i am sure it was a blast to conquer.
Well im very sure i will not miss the next one.You can count me in already.
Looks like your truck went through a bit of action,and came out alright.
No serious damage that i can see.Hate mine was down,but its up and about after a bit of surgery.Take it easy!

Well, I did get some long scratches, but then my truck is not a triumph of cosmetics... so it doesn't matter to me.

DDog, I sorta remember some of that area. I've been out on top of Mesa Blanca (the sheet rock mine above San Ysidro, before it was a mine) and all over out west and north of Cuba, but not much west of Alb/RioR proper...

Yeah, the farthest point we go to is 20.5 miles NW of Rio Rancho city proper, based on what the GPS tells me... At that point you can go no farther north or west unless you have a sailplane... ::) It is about a 500' drop into the valley the Rio Puerco flows though (when it rains)... Lovely scenery...

so when is the next southern NM get together anyway???? i gotta replace another front stub axle on the cage,,,,it will only take me a few hrs ,,,and im reading that smokey has reverse troubles now,,,,,maybe in feb or march??? the 4x4 club has the Chile Challenge here in last weekend of feb,,,,maybe some of u guys wanna come watch???im gonna give it hell trying to enter it this yr,,,,,,i got my brake lights ,just need to mount em now,,and i also have a bit of plexi glass so the dirt dont fly up and hit me in the eye,,lol
