And I mean in a bad way? I have an edelbrock 750 manual choke and a Holley 750 double pumper sitting around collecting dust. My 318 has hedman hedders, 88,000 miles, and soon a Performer (or similar) intake, and not one trace of smog equip.

I run that exact combo on a '76 Ford 360 F.E., after the Tech at Summit Racing said my truck would barely move off the line. I could smoke the 35's while rolling about 10-15 mph with 3.55's. 'Course, that is a big-block.

Would 750 cfm's really be way too much for the 318? I'm cheap and don't want to spend another $200+ for a new carb.

I do have stock gearing and 35's, and it's not my daily driver so fuel economy isn't too much of a concern, but I don't want to use a ridiculous amount for weekend expeditions....Thanks!!
