I have a 1990 A-518 behind a '98 360 in my '83 RC.
A have the '90 MOPAR service manual for the transmission, and it shows a 3-pin connector for the O/D solenoid, and from what I can tell from the pictures, has fairly hefty wires that
power the solenoid. With gas prices into the stratosphere, I though it might be nice to use the O/D, but the only connector I can see (just above the shift lever) is a dinky 2-pin
connector. I know it is a O/D tranny, because the under-hood label identified it as such, and I had to use the shorter driveline because the tranny is a good foot or so longer than the one it replaced. I can't seem to find any information, and the local tranny shops aren't too free with info. Any help would be appreciated. ???

You are having problems wiring it up? The o/d switch is just an on/off switch. All you really need is a toggle switch for that and leave it one way or the other, depending on if you want it on or off. I think the other connector you saw (the 3 pin one) was the neutral safty/backup lamp switch.

IIRC, one wire is for the NSS, one for torque converter lockup, and one to activate OD. I will have to dig around to find which wire is which...maybe Chump will beat me to it ;)

The Neutral safety switch is below, and towards the bottom of the tranny. The switch pictured in the manual looks a lot like the safety switch, but it clearly shows them both. The one on the tranny doesn't look like either of them. I can use the PCM
to control the O/D, but I have tried to apply power and ground to both of the leads on the road when a buddy was driving and nothing happens.
Thanks,

No lock up converter on a 90 A-518. :) The 90 fsm shows 3 wires going to the OD lock-out solenoid, but on my RC, I only see 2 also
