What is the ohm range for a *working* water temp sender?

Mine reads low, and I am trying to see if it is the sender, or the gauge.

I do not know off the top of my head but if your book doesn't say I would go to www.MOPARTS.com and either ask the question or look in the tech pages there. They deal with alot of the older Mopars and someone will know.

Easiest way to test is: start engine, pull-off connector at sensor, hold connector to a good ground and check if meter gives "high".
If not, gauge defect.
If yes, probably sensor defect or port clogged etc.
