What are "VelvetRides"?
« on: February 5, 2003, 06:40:08 pm »
Here they are.....They help to soften the ride quality on your Dodge truck/Ramcharger.They work great and add a little articulation when off-roading!$160.00!They're a hinged shackle that takes a lot of initial impact out of the suspension!

Also missing is How to replace steering shaft with a Bourgson it just goes back to the main webpage.

Velvet Rides are hinged shackles that typically do more harm than good. They can soften the ride and increase droop, but they also make the truck a lot more unstable in evasive or extreme maneuvers. They are better suited to heavy vehicles like RVs that are unlikely to experience hard cornering or off road maneuvers.

Also the links have been broken for a while and it would pretty much be a full time job to redo them, even if we had access to the pics and other things that were linked over the years which we don't as many no longer exist or the host for the site or images has moved or gone offline. It's one of the things you have to deal with when using a forum with some age on it, especially when dealing with threads that are over 15 years old. Things change over time and if the author of the thread doesn't stick around to fix it, or is unable to fix it, you get dead links.

As for the Borgeson shaft How-To, I have no problem clicking it and getting to the story:
