it off me in 98. he rebuilt the motor, drove it for about 2000
miles and parked it in my yard unused for 2yrs. the elements
were not nice to it. (still looks better than yours TV ;D)

Cool truck, why was it parked???
??? They need to make a law about that kind of deliberate destruction of an historical vehicle. We all need to write to our congressmen on this. ::)
These open air RC's are getting scarc in Calif. (maybe everwhere) You have the makings of a good, unique trail rig and i'm jealous. I've been looking for one but can't find one that close to me. But i'm not giving up. :p
anyone got any ideas on color. i was thinkin about lime green, petty blue, maybe a macho sheme. something different. i like anything unusual except that tan :(
it has tan interior so anything goes. it may get blue cuz that's
my daughters favorite if she has her way.

it's got to be spray can available tho.
O.K. You answered you own question about color. Spray bomb equals Camo. Pick Army or Marine spots and which season of the year and terrain. Theres a thread going now on where to kind the patterns. Probably page 2 or 3. Mall Wart has the camo colors and the makers of paint are Krylon or Rustoleum. One mfg has patterns on the back of can. Get ready to lhave some fun! ;D
Paint that mutha BLACK!!!!
nice rig, you need to kill the rust
It's been awhile, any updates?
Macho{cool}
i'm going to put a cage in first. missbigblue gave me a # for a place that does it for a very reasonable price.
once that's done i'm going to strip the entire interior compartment and rhino line it. then measure my brothers garage to see if i put the lift on and still get it out. the axles which are the biggest expense may have to wait awhile.
Sounds like it will be an awsom rig when it is done {cool}

Hey bud, I was staring at my RC last night, trying to figure out how to route my cage's front down bars. Getting it around the dash without it getting in the way is going to be a challenge. How do you plan to route yours? I see the most difficult spots are going to be the glove box door (will the glove box open) the park brake (if it worked) and the headlight switch. Have you figured out how you're going to route the down bars yet?
i haven't decided yet. i'm still playing around with diameter piping too. i have a console so i never use my glovebox. just hope i don't blow any fuses. my door is in pretty good shape, so i'm going to use a junk one.
as for the headlight switch, i didn't even think of that one. i don't mind any bars getting in the way of entry or exit i'll just wear kneepads. during the summer the top will be off most of time so i usually climb in and out thru the back.
