Hey all,
I've got a way cool idea for a Utah chapter meet and greet. BYU is hosting the SAE sponsored "MINI BAJA WEST" competition this year in Provo UT on May 8-10. Saturday the 10th is when the real fun begins. This will consist of a four hour endurance race over what should be a brutally rough race course designed to break the cars that these competing engineering students have spent countless hours designing and building themselves. This race is almost as fun to watch as it is to compete in. There will be crashes, wrecks, blown engines, rollovers, I'm getting pumped just writing about it! I got to be a course judge last year (when USU in Logan sponsored the event) and I'm telling you, this is going to be a ton of fun!! Schools competing from all over the country will be there, even some from over seas (we had a school last year from Beirut Lebanon. True story!) Let's get a group together and pack a picnic lunch, lawn chairs and plenty of rolls of film and go. What do you all say?
