Looking for advice on removing the rotor/unit bearing on a 1995 2500 front axle. I can get the hub nut and the 4 bolts from the back that hold the bearing in off alright, but can't seem to get the whole assembly off. The guide on pavementsucks says to remove the rotor first, however on a 3/4 ton it is behind the wheel flange, so I guess it all has to come off at once. Any ideas for getting this off?

Thanks,

Craig

l use an axle puller / its a slide hammer that bolts to the wheel lugs / l use that and a big hammer to tap on the rotor at the same time side to side / it will come out of there / l,ve had to ruin a couple of rotors on the tough ones

Should I leave the big nut on when I'm doing this, and just remove the 4 bolts from the back of the knuckle? Prying on the rotor with the big nut removed made the bearing sloppy, but didn't actually free the whole assembly.
