Well they would definately need some persuation to stay on the rails but thats to be expected for sitting in a box for many years..
Here are some pics. 

I believe the gasket would be flipped over..(or not) ??  but wanted you to be able see the contours either way.

My gaskets are adhered to the top. At least they didn't come off the top when I took it off. But if I recall, yes, the ribs faced the bed rail. So yes, I think you have them reversed, but understand you are just showing us the contour.

I will not be putting these on for quite some time if you guys have any contacts at Metro or similar vendors that would be willing to scan these to make repros..
As long as they are reputable and I know I will get them back I have no issue with that.
Not sure if they would do it or not but seems like it would be a reletively worth while venture for a company that was already set up for similar things..

FYI, I sent a good, used pair I bought from a member here to a vendor that is on this site, as they are interested in re-popping these. Have not heard from them since I got word that they received it though. Precision Replacement Parts is the vendor (also their username here).

Yep the flat side goes to the top. The key is to glue them to the top, silicone the bottom of the seal and wax the crap out of the bed rails so they don't tear.
