TRUXUS STS Radials (all terrain)

I don't know what anyone else thinks of these, but i am highly disappointed. The only place they are any good is in sand. They suck everywhere else. I've had them for about six months, and a month of that my truck was parked. They have about 8000 miles and they're shot. Only about 1/8th inch of tread left. Most of my driving is highway but they are called "all terrains", and that should include highway. They are entirely too soft, they cut very easily and pick up nails and stuff like it's cool. I'm afraid to go near mud with them, they don't sling it at all, they just kinda make a mud mist. I'll never buy these tires again, unless it's for a dune buggy or something, and I don't plan on buying one of those.

I think those were designed more for DISCO trucks than anything else. (DISCO meaning flashy shit for show.)
Yeah those are poser tires, just like the baja belted mickey's and thornbirds.
good to know. i was contemplating on buying a set for the cherokee. til it's lifted i wanted a decent a/t that was small enuff. they were growing on me. looks like they'd be good in dirt trails. mud is out. guess, i will stick w/MT/R's until something else catches my eye
I know a guy that had a set of these on his GMC 2500HD and he said that his stock tires got better traction when he pulled with it. He dosent have these tires anymore I believe that they wore out with not much mileage on them! :-\
if the sts radials are such shitty tires....what are some other ones that i could find for around the same price that are 35 x 12.5.  hook me up with a website or sumthin if you could!!
BFG AT's...They'll last for 50K miles and have good traction in everything but mud.  Good road manners too, and great in the snow.
could u give me a website where i can order em cheap?
35x12.50x15 Baja claw Radials are about 170 a pop...and they're great in everything...but i don't really know about wear..i've had them for about 2 months now...they haven't really worn at all and it's on my daily driver...so meh..i'll find out when i drive er more

Everything but snow and ice (from what I have heard). Road manners aren't as good as a BFG AT, but then they are more aggressive and work in the mud. Everything is a trade off. Just figure out what you need the tires for, and go from there.
I have used tire rack several times, and have never had a problem with them. I recommend them 100%

I haven't had bgf at's before but my wifes exploder has a bfg tire on it, the radial long trails, and they suck compared to my claws on road. I even think my claws are quieter. The claws do suck in slight snow and ice, but its an MT type tire, so what do you expect. They're find tho if you get about 2-3 inches of snow tho.
actually they don't do too bad in snow..it's the ice is what kills any tire.
Yes the Claws are good in the snow! Like said before, its the ice thats the killer.
I would say that the BFG AT's are as good as any winter tire, without studs anyway.  I have had winter tires that were worse than BFG ATs, when I lived in Washington.

BFG Long Trails suck.  Just like the Wrangler RTS tires I had on my Dakota...garbage. :-X

I have no personal experience with the claws, but my neighbor has a set of radials.  No snow or ice in this area, but he likes them and they perform well.
