K. guys.. i have a bad 85 model 727 and a should be good 904 (i think) not o/d.. just a lockup tranny.. shorter than the 727... Would it be possible to mix and match parts from the two trannies to make 1 useable tranny for play purposes not a daily driver.. trying to be as "thrifty" as possible..

There are some compatable parts, but for the most part no. The thing with the 904 is that it is a scaled down version of the 727. So everything is smaller. The clutches are smaller, and there are less of them, the bands are smaller... I guess I don't see any connection made between the 904 and 727 on that link either...

D85RC is right the 904 is a small 727 / other than the tail shaft NONE of the parts interchange
