ok know i have a problem i dont know what it is for sure but its probly the trans

ok i was out fourwheeling and i got to the top of the hill everything was good and when i tried to go into reverse i kept going forward then when i put it in park and tryed to stepp one the gas to engine was acting like it was getting held back so i let the truck sit for awile and got first gear back and went home.

know has anybody had the same problem if not do you know what is was i wasnt out for long i was on the hills for about 25 min and this happened i think the trans needs rebuilt but i just want to be sure ok any help would be greatful ok thanks

the truck is a 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.9l and never had any problems before.

I fear that your transmission has attempted honorable "Hara Kiri" (suicide), and is in need of major surgery.

Best bet would be to have few estimates fomr tranny shops and see what the pro's think .

how many miles on the truck? it might be time for a new tranny anyway.

i only have about 45,000 miles and about half or it was on the interstate im starting to think it could be the torqu converter but not sure
