I have an '87 2 wheel drive Ram Charger with a 318
and i wanna use that engine in my other vehicle (jeep)
is it feasible to use the transmission and add a transfer case or should I just get a trans/transfercase combo and sell the trans I have?

sell the 2WD trans because you would need a 4x4 tranny just to make your 2WD tranny into a 4x4 tranny

If you get a transfer case with a Dodge bolt pattern you can take the tailcone off the trans you have and use it. I do think that a 4X4 trans has a stronger case though.

You have to change the output shaft also. Which means dissasembling the trans.

To use your 2x4 tranny you have to get a 4x tailshaft for the trans case you want to use as well as an output shaft.

Whatever your Junk yard charges and then a gasket and filter and oil change will be the cost to swap the 2x trans to a 4x trans.

What is your jeeps drivetrain?

Jeeps are driver side drops. Dodge are passenger side drop. Might need to build some custom cross members.

Guessin you knew that.
