Howdy All,

Getting ready to install an auto trans cooler on my '87 318 2wd. I have already settled on the brand (Tru-cool LPD coolers) and as I haven't paid for it yet I am musing about where to mount the cooler.

1. Between the radiator and condensor?
2. In front of the condensor?
3. Up high or down low?

How much space between the cooler and the next in line (condensor or radiator)

Perhaps not in front of either but over behind the plastic grill in front of the flat sheet metal to the sides of the radiator opening?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Chris
Thanks in advance

Mine is right in front of the condensor. You can also cut a hole in the radiator support and put it next to the radiator.

Did yours come with a fan or did you get that on it afterward? Looking to get a fan for mine if possible.

i mounted mine inside of the truck agains the back of the cab, so mud doesn't get in it, (yes it has a fan on it), and the radiator is on the bed

I just ordered my tranny cooler today and I think I'll be mounting it just behind the grille on the front of the radiator.
