I have a 98 ram 1500 4x4 w/ a 360. The problem im having is when im on the freeway my truck will shift into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with no problem but it wont shift into 4th (overdrive). But when im in town it gose through all the gears. Its also running at higher RPMs now. On the freeway i was at 80mph at 2000rpm's but now i'm running at 70mph at 2100rpm's.
Also when im in town and just let off the gas it wont down shift like it use to all it dose now is feel like its in nutural. The truck doesnt sound the same either the exhaust isnt as loud as it ues to be. I have a 1 chamber flow so its always suppose to scream. It just dosent do that anymore.

Anyone know whats going on or what i can do. :-\

Just a gues but it seems like the torque converter is shot possibly . Have a tranny shop look it over
So have a shop run the codes on your trucks computer and you will find the problem might be on the computer side and casusing the truck not to shift properly .
I wouldn't think so and what breather are u referring to anyhow ?
ya low fluid will make it not wanna shift for lack of line pressure . i am still lost on the breather part though . I can understand the fact u might have gotten crap in hte vent tube if u got one .
