just kickin around an idea here...
anyone here try mounting a NV 4500 tranny in their RC? i'm thinking about (distant) future mods for mine, and i like the idea of a really low 1st gear and an overdrive. what issues would someone have to watch out for with this swap?

The hardest thing about that swap is the cost. Its really hard to find the nv4500 for not a lot of $$.

got that right. the cheapest one i can find is for $750.

and u havnt bought it yet? most go for 1 1/2 to 2 times that much.

1. i don't have the cash
2. it's in Green Bay WI, about 6 hours away from my place
3. it's $750, which makes me wonder what's wrong with it
