While changing the transmission pan gasket and fluid I discovered quite a bit of little shiney metal shards. I mean ALOT of them! Surprisingly, my tranny shifts fine, and doesnt leak(after the gasket was put in anyway). I know this means aleast some type of damage. Can someone reccomend a conditioner or sealer that has worked for them? Oh yes, I found a little oil on my plugs when I change them, does this mean new piston rings are necessary?

As far as the tranny goes, once you find shavings, its only a matter of time before it goes. Conditioners and sealers only work if there is a seal leak somewhere. The metal is probably from one or more of your clutches. As far as the engine, it doesn't necessarily mean that your rings are shot. The oil could be coming in through the valves too. I think that if the valve guide seats are shot that they will let oil through. A problem with the PCV system will let oil go in through the intake as well.

its probably your tourqe convertor or your clutch. when i had my trans serviced they found the same thing, and it still shifts fine as well. just plan on getting it rebulit or heavily serviced within the next 6 months.

It's not too unusual to find some shavings in your pan. Unless it is in an advanced state of wear, you can just change out your fluid, don't hot rod around and your tranny can last you a good while yet until you are ready to rebuild or service it. Helps to plan ahead.
