Ok I pulled the engine from my 1975. Behind it was a 727 with a 10 inch flex plate. On the new engine (1985) there was a 11 inch flex plate. My question is and I apologize if it has been previously asked but can I just go to an 11 inch converter or do I need to swap the plates? Pros and cons? Is there any difference besides where the holes are drilled?

You will have to swap flex plates, but make sure both motors are either 318 or 360 since the 318 is neutral balanced converter and 360 has external weights on it. I personally like to run the larger converters, but that's me.
Is there any benefit to the larger 11 inch converter? I'm planning on replacing it anyway.
