Anybody know where to get these and how hard it is to do? I am pretty sure mine are Sure-Grip, although I haven't really paid much attention to 'em

Yeah, the sure grip has clutches. You might try Randy's Ring and pinion.

What year, and which rear end?

Guys, not all Sure Grips have clutches, and the cone type are not officially rebuildable. They can be renewed, however. Which rear do you have? What year?

If you're referring to the Auburn diff., it's been "officially" rebuildable for at least 4 years. Mancini Racing has the goods, but I'd imagine Randy's does too.

I thought that the cone type Mopar Sure Grips were made by Borg Warner, and the clutch types by Dana. Does Auburn rebuild the Borg Warner Sure grips?

I don't know the specifics as to who claims what in these things. I do know that Auburn Gear makes diffs for all three major rears now, but as to the origins of the names, etc., beats me. Looks like they all pretty much make parts etc for each other nowadays.

Well, I keep meaning to go out there to the garage and pull them outta the boxes and look at 'em, but I haven't even gotten around to that. Bummer I don't have more time.
