I have them. They are made by flowtech.

They work good, but they do not fit good. I had to modify my aftermarket shifter bracket at the trans (which I shouldn't have had to according ot Summit) and I had to get a shorter starter.

Thye make 2 diff length starters...I got the shorter one.

My opinion only, but you get what you pay for. The cheaper headers will probably only last a couple years and, if you do not re-torque the header bolts on a regular basis, you will have to replace the gaskets often. They will be maintenance intensive. And after a couple months. they will look like crap from all the inevitable rust. Having said all that, even cheap headers give a tremendous boost in power.

I have the headers.

Install was challanging but accomplished.

I did NOT have to change out my starter. After you hang the header but before you tighten it, put the starter in. Then go back and tighten the headers down.

I have retorqued my header bolts once, after a short break-in.

Well, the last set of headers I had on were even cheaper yet, never had to retorque them, and they lasted 13 years.

I had no choice on the starter....I did like you said, and the starter was actually touching the headers......no way around it. I drove it that way for about 2 weeks, then then starter died from the heat. You may have had the shorter starter to begin with. The diff in length is only about 3/4", but it is enough.

i haven't had any problems with my summit headers, in fact i think i have checked the torque once, they didn't even need retorquing. i've had em on there for 7 months. i did have to install a mini starter, i couldn't even get the big one in there.

I'll take back what I said then. Seems the Summit headers are better than I thought. Every set of headers I've ever owned were a huge pain in the butt. Always needed re-torqueing, always burning out the gaskets, always rusting thru. Even a set of Hedmans did the same thing.

Can you get the Summit headers coated (thru Summit)?

mine fit, just gotta lift the engine up a bit to get the drivers side in. I wouldn't suggest them if you have the Milodon 4x4 oil pan though, I have about 1/4" of clearance between one of my header tubes and the side of the pan. I'm gonna have to make a heat shield or put some heat wrap on to keep it from heating up my oil, even though it dosent seem to be running hot at all now.

One thing i liked about them is, they placed the collectors almost perfectly. I can run a straight piece of pipe straight back without any bends until the rear axle.
