I’m building a 318 cid out of an ’84 Ramcharger for a D-150 short bed with a New Process 5 speed. Can you help me with cam selection. Most of my driving is between 00 and 4000 rpms due to an 8 ¾ rear with 4:10 gears. My Question is will a .450"/.455" lift, 268/272 duration Mopar Performance Purpleshaft be to big for a daily driven Street / Utility Truck

No that won't be to big, but you may want to check out some newer cams with around the same kinda numbers look at the comp extreme cam line.

I concur with marty I put in a edelbrock pefformer cam in mt tired old 318 it runs good
