I thought it was wheelbearings or u-joints but it was'nt!! Anybody have any thoughts on this???? Also my tranny is starting to slip how hard is it to rebuild and where can I get the info on the tranny and kit? THANKS EVERYONE !!!!! ???

What year is this vehicle? I had a problem similar to this in my 84 years ago. I replaced the automatic hubs with manuals and the clicking went away.

I don't know if this is relevant, but I had a noise (on my current RC) that I would hear when I slowed down. It would happen when I took my foot off the brake. It was a clunking noise coming from the left front. I did bearings/u-joints and still had the clunking. I replaced the caliper and haven't had the noise since.

Yup it's better to lock the CAD in place man and use manual hubs on it . that and u never have to mess with not knowing if it's in 4wd for sure or not either .

PS: Check the how to section for locking the CAD in place
