Steering Shaft Questions

I am trying to install my new Borgeson steering shaft, and I am having difficulty removing the old one. I have already driven out the plastic pin, but it won't let go. I can't get the metal thing that went around the plastic pin to budge, even with PB. Am I missing something?

My roll pin came out so easy it was scary. Things don't usually go that easy for me with the RC.
