hey all. long time since i posted, 74 w100 with '69 318. can't seem to find any adjustment screw on my steering gear box. but i have about a 1/4 turn play in the gear box, does anyone have any hints on how to get that gear box out easier?
well guys, got everything back in today. took gear box out and just cleaned and put a coat of paint on her. will monitor for leaks, but appears to be in good condition. adjustment is on frame side of gear box, never would have figured that.
most difficult part of removing and reinstalling was the pittman arm. Pittman arm wedge was too small. ended up taking just a pair of chisels and a sledge. had to really work to get pittman arm back on too.
