starting a project truck, where do i start??

i am starting a total rebuild on a 90' 150 truck, this is my first rebuild and wanted to know of any books or videos that could help me along the way like where to start and so on

a factory service manual FSM would be a good idea. Can be found on ebay and other places, like Daimler Chrysler Publications. If you look here on the open board there is more info.
Where to start is in your head, you need a direction 1st, is it a 4x off-road only, is it dual duty , is it a racer, can't give you a direction on where to start until you know in your head what you want to do.

Now going on the word rebuild, i would pull the motor and send it out after i tore it down get the machine work started, while that's happening get the trans done, i prefer to leave rears alone for something that doesn't have a problem and may not need to be touched (but this all depends on your overall use of the truck) then now i would do all the body mounts and spring bushings and steering, get a new radiator, make the cross over to elec fans, can't help you anymore than that.

Gotta be specific when asking questions
If it were me, I would tear it down to a bare frame, and build it up totally from scratch. That way it can be exactly how you want it, and you can fix any frame cracks, rusted body mounts, suspension bushings, etc.

Yeah i agree with that, there is a point to his craziness, if you have the room and correct space to do it that way
suspension ,steering and brakes . rims and tires.. if ya cant stop dont start.
