in the morning i start my 86 rc and drive down the road about a mile and sfter that everytime i stop it stalls then after i get home and go some where even an hour later it runs fine can anybody help me figure out what is causing this
if it only stalls cold but seems good after a run and heat soak i would venture it is a choke adjustment. you gave us very little info to work with. here is what i would ask first
what engine, what carb, what ignition(stock module or computer by battery type) auto or stick. i know 86 are extremely rare in stick format but they wree there. lets see if we can help ya fixx it
could also be that the carb is icing. you are up there in PA where it is still cold, and i believe it has been rather humid recently? sounds like the carb is icing in the venturis and blocking the fuel flow. best bet, start the truck up and let it run for about 10-15 minutes, then cut it off and let it sit for about 5-10... should let the carb heat-soak enough to cut down on the icing. let us know if this helps.
