Here's the problem... There's a squeaking sound coming from what seems to be right behind the guages in the dash. I've ripped out everything all the way down to the firewall and found that it's something on the other side. It's not the belts...it sounds more like a high pitched plastic squeak. It's really driving me nuts...I know it's a long shot but I've yet to be let down by the pros at RCC.

Hell, it's a Dodge, it's supposed to squeak, leak, rattle, vibrate and all that other fun stuff. J/K! Do you have A/C? If so check the clutch. Water pump bearing? Alt bearing?

i am not sure what year the problem started
but the cowling by the door attachment location
cracks and will cause this sound

Nope, no ac.... I'll take a look at the bearings but it really doesn't sound like bearing or mechanical squeaking....thanks

My guess is the speedo cable. My chebbie van has this problem. I choose to turn up the radio.
