ford ones shoudl work if i remember correctly
No..it's the actual rubber tire size stamped on the side.mopar-man 3000 said:alright but as far as the tire size goes is it refereing to width and rim size![]()
The ones listed at Year One will not work in this truck. The pinion is all metal and has NO colored gear. The pinions at Year One fit into the tranny, on the 4x4 truck the pinion fits into the transfer case. The correct one looks just like the picture in the parts book I posted.Bogie said:
You cannot install one in your transmission. Follow your speedometer cable back to the transfer case, remove the cable and then remove the speedo gear. Count the teeth on it so you know what you have. Then use the above chart to convert the tire size(height) to something close to yours. I don't know if Mopar can still order these pinions. You might also consider going to an instrument/speedometer repair shop and ask them what they can do to calibrate your system.mopar-man 3000 said:i was wonder if i could put a speedo gear in the tranny i dont care if the speedo is right when im in 4xright if i can i know were to get one how many teath would i need to get the speedo right![]()
