I just got through doing one upper yesterday afternoon, and I must say it's a PITA!! Bought a large pipe wrench, not enough torque, so I welded a two or three foot length of angle iron to it. All the while spraying penetrating oil on it, and hammering to get it to flow. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!???. Took me at least an hour if not more, taking breaks to keep from sledge hammering it to pieces, to get it unscrewed. I'd like to pay a visit to the guy who designed this pos, LOL!

Going to do the other upper sometime next week, and the lowers while cutting the spring for lowering. Is there a better way to go about this task??,,,,Cruisin

I may make my own, if it's too cost prohibitive. I have the old one to work with, so just a little welding and some scrap metal, done.,,,,Cruisin

There is 3 sizes though. one for A bodies. one for B,E,F, J,M, and R(did i miss a letter?) body cars. One more size for C bodies and 2wd trucks. Just Suspension has the sockets for $24 each or $59 for all 3. Their number is 800-872-1548. I can't find a website for them in your magazine ad.

Autozone has them for loaner. You'll need a 3' breaker bar or an impact wench. Once you get it one or two full turns it'll pop right out.
