I just got through doing one upper yesterday afternoon, and I must say it's a PITA!! Bought a large pipe wrench, not enough torque, so I welded a two or three foot length of angle iron to it. All the while spraying penetrating oil on it, and hammering to get it to flow. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!
. Took me at least an hour if not more, taking breaks to keep from sledge hammering it to pieces, to get it unscrewed. I'd like to pay a visit to the guy who designed this pos, LOL!
Going to do the other upper sometime next week, and the lowers while cutting the spring for lowering. Is there a better way to go about this task??,,,,Cruisin
