Sonic Night

I know at one time a bunch of you guys were talking about all heading to Sonic for supper. I suggested it to the club at our last meeting, and everyone thought it would be fun to have a bunch of Dodges, Jeeps, and whatever else people may be driving that weekend all hanging out at the local Sonic. It would be a great place to just sit and shoot the breeze, and hopefully the weather would be nice for those who like to run with the tops off in the summer. Let me know what night you guys had in mind for this.

Well, I've seen the Sonic there, and I know a bunch of trucks that will be there won't be able to fit in the stalls, because mine barely does ;D But yeah, I'm sure we'll probably do that. I would probably say that Saturday night would be the best time. Everyone would be there by then.

Randall
as long as you don't mind ugly trucks, i'm in!
That sounds awsome, I will be there for sure. I think Randall is right though, my RC doesn't fit in the local Sonic stalls.
Are you guys too tall or too wide?
Mine is too tall. Back home instead of everyone parking at sonic, next to Sonic was a movie theater. Everyone would park in that theater, but next to sonic.
I haven't seen one too tall yet. I was referring to too wide. I know I have to pull my mirrors in on some Sonic stalls. Of course, this is after I try to fit in there. Some I can fit in, some I can't. My tires aren't all that wide, but I know this would hinder some other trucks. Also, I don't think they'll have enough parking for all of us. Guess we'll just have to park on the edge of the road ;D

Randall
Well there is parking around the edge that is not stall parking, and there is also a McDonalds across the street, I think we will find a way to get everyone in there. I think I finally found one advantage to having a narrow axle. ;D
hmm, sonics here are wide enough for our trucks, just too short in the stalls. I think Jamie's truck barely fit into one of the stalls with 4" of lift and 35x15.5 swampers. There is no way it would fit now.
They must grow 'em short down there or is it that they are showing their true ricer colors.( short stalls no BIG Trucks) btw I know I can fit w/6" lift and 35's but as randall said watch the mirrors. just my .01 jOhn
i kinda of like the idea of conversing at the theater parking lot, as long as it's close enough to Soniks that people can walk over and see what REAL trucks look like! that way, it still leaves the stalls for people ordering food. as john says... just my $.01.... too broke for 2
Reserve me a space, oh and I will "make" it fit one way or another. 8)
I just went and looked at a sonic, looks like it will be close for my RC, but bigger rigs will have probs.

Here they are wide enough, my cummins has some extra big towing mirrors and I can pull into the stalls easy and don't have to fold the mirrrors.
keep in mind, sam, that in texas even the bank stalls accommidate trucks. that's the only state i've seen that have separate stalls at the drivethru bank just for taller trucks! that's so cool. i wish they had those here.
my bank has a separate drive through that is made for taller vehicles.
we are still doing this, right? Sam, just let me know, cuz as far as i know, i'm staying in the same hotel as ya'll are.
So what night is going to work best for you guys. Let me know. If anyone would like to get ahold of me, PM me and I will send you my number and you can call me if you have any questions.

I would say shooting for Saturday night. There will still be people arriving Friday night, and they will probably want to rest. Sat would sound good for me. They also may close early Friday night due to the 4th.

lol, down here a rig is justified by how well it wheels, not how tall it is.

I agree indeed Sam . I was saying that the owners cater to the little ricers not anything about The southern trucks. From the pictures I've seen you'all know how to get it done. jOhn
