The "front mounted" torsion bars is why I was thinking later model Dodge car. My folks have a '77 or '78 New Yorker that is donating it's engine/trans to another project so it came to mind really fast. Haven't checked to see if the bars are front or lengthwise mounted on it though. Figured a
big car like that would support the weight of a truck well. I have yet to ride in something with airbag suspension but truck suspensions (even lowered with good components) just weren't designed to ride good.
