I just got my RC about two weeks ago and the guy i bout it from set it so it changes gears at higher rpms and so how do i change it?

I also have a little switch that hangs down right below were the stering arm goes into the fire wall can any of you guys tell me what it is for

Adjust the throttle pressure at the carb, the rod going to the trans

"where the steering arm goes into the firewall"? Maybe where the strreing column goes into the firewall? Could be the brake light switch if you have no brake lights
