Can somebody refresh my memory on how to get the glass out of the rear hatch on my 86 r/c?
WITHOUT breaking it? heh heh heh like i did recently....i got myself a nice not-broken replacement hatch from junkyard and before i painted it, i wanted to take the glass out....I thought i could do it cuz i remembered reading here how to do it...but i broke it DOH!
oh well
so my old hatch still has perfect glass in it, I might bring it to a glass shop and say "put that glass in this door"

Ifit were me and I had a good seal for the piece I am going to use I would cut out one side of the rubber seal an carefully push out the glass. To install you put a piece of rope (about pencil thickness or a bit less) all around inside the rubber seal with a piece you can grap hanging out. Put the glass in the seal and get a buddy to press the assembly against the window opening. Get the seal fit started around the lip. When you can do anymore by hand you pull the rope from the inside of the truck which "slips" the rubber inside lip to its proper place on the inside of the hatch. A little lub of some kind could help, but with proper pressure on the outside pushing in, and the rope pulling the inside part of the seal into place, you should get it.

would a new rubber seal be available at a "normal" parts place? like napa? or would i have to order it from someplace crazy...
