Need some help removing a heater coil from a 1988 Dodge Ram D100. Do you have to remove have to remove the dash.

It's a rather involved process, but I don't think you have to pull the dash. You really should get a book. Preferably a Factory Service Manual. Check you local library, they usually have Chiltons Manuals so you can copy the pages you need. It would take forever for one of us to explain the whole job - I think that's why you didn't get much response.

Does it have a/c ? If so you need to take it to a shop and have the freon reclaimed, because the entire plastic plenum (the black plastic part that you can see under the dash) needs to be removed. This part needs to be removed whether or not you have a/c. Once the plenum is out split it to remove the heater core.
