I have a 114 amp alternator I intend on rebuilding soon. It is currently working fine, but the bearings are getting loose and noisy.
Other than brushes and bearings, what else should be changed on a working alternator?

Yes, when I do mine I do the brushes, sometimes the brush holder, bearings and diodes. There is no way to stress test the diodes, you can tell if they are shorted or open, but the problem is down the road the diodes may start dying from the shock of the rebuild and old age. :)

Your welcome...i had to buy a special puller for the pulley...something similar to the puller used on the P/S pump pulley.
