i blew the rear diff in my 84 1/2 ton 4x4 and am tryin to figure the gear ratio 11teeth on the pinion and 45 on the ring gear, i worked that out to 4.09, does that sound right?
yes, that sounds right...though I always thought it should be 4.11 for a Dodge rear end, but since you have the ring and pinion gear in front of you....guess it's close enough
well i guess theres actually 14 pinion teeth couldn't count real good with the carrier still in oh well that makes 3.21 which sounds alot better than what i thought before found a wreckin yard with a sure grip carrier and a set of 3.21 gears to put in so now i'm gonna have limited slip
