is there a way to connect my laptop to my 90 OBD-I computer? is there a software that will give me feedback as I drive? I have a snap-on 2500 unit, it has the troubleshooter cartridge in it (mt2500-2995) along with the OBDII cartridge. it has the plug for OBD II and I've used it on my impala. I could get the chrysler adapter, but have been looking at some of the nice software laptop interfaces and was wondering if someone knew of one that could be used.

I asked a few days ago... I didn't get very far tho... I dont think theymake a direct PC interface for OBD I, you have to have the scan tool connected at all times to interface with the computer, and the software that I've found is just an archiver, not real-time... I'll keep looking, and if anyone elso knows, please let us know!!

Yeah, I saw those.. It looks like that is exactly what we're looking for! I believe we have the SCI connector, but I emailed him last night to be sure... This wou;d be great... It's even cheaper than any scan tool! Thanks Chump!

I hope the guy get's back to us. I wonder if we could, you know, split the cost.

I would, but I'm going to have it permanently connected to an on-board PC... However, if I get it, and it turns out to be a simple interface, i.e. a direct-connect with no circuitry, I could make you one for say.. half the price he wants? <nudge nudge> < ;) ;) > If it works like that, you're just paying for the software anyway.. Know what I'm sayin'?

Hey Matt, I got some bad news. I got an e-mail reply from the guy and he says it only works for 92 and up computers. So I guess we are just SOL. Now what?

Yeah, I got the same email.... Did they change the OBD system at all between 89 and 92? I don't think so... Anyone know different?? They all use the same scan tool I thought... Keep your fingers crossed, this might still work! :D
